Neeleman considering launching U.S. startup airline next year

By Robert Silk | Sep 18, 2019

Moxy, the U.S. airline to be launched by JetBlue founder David Neeleman, is contemplating beginning service next year using Embraer regional jets. The carrier would use Embraer E195 aircraft that are being retired by Azul, the Brazilian airline of which Neeleman is chairman, said Gareth Edmonson-Jones, a spokesman for Neeleman.

Moxy, expected to go by a different name once launched, will have a point-to-point route network connecting small airports that have lost service due industry consolidation.
